Hello and Welcome TO WEST HOLLYWOOD ELEMENtary!
I grew up in Calexico California, a border town to Mexicali, Baja California Mexico with no brothers or sisters, but over 15 cousins. My wife, Gina, and my son, who attended WeHo from K-5th grade, are my special gifts that I so treasure. After graduating high school, I moved to Northridge, CA. to attend Cal State, Northridge. I received my BA degree in Deaf Studies with a focus on Education, and minored in Chicano Studies. I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Los Angeles. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language and had the opportunity to work in the Deaf and Disabled community for 10 years after which I moved into teaching in the public schools. I recently earned my Masters in Educational Administration. I enjoy bowling, dinner & a movie, dancing, music, travel, and spending time with my family. Somethings you may not know about me is that I can play the trumpet, and that I was part of the opening ceremonies of the 1984 Summer Olympic Games held here in Los Angeles. This year marks my 21st year as an educator with LAUSD, and proud to say all of them have been here at WHE!
